National Capital Trolley Museum

Membership in the National Capital Trolley Museum demonstrates a commitment to the preservation and interpretation of electric railway history for our Nation’s Capital. Membership provides the opportunity to participate in member-sponsored activities while providing the satisfaction of supporting an historical asset in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. Since October 1969 Museum members have operated a demonstration railway in Northwest Branch Park of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. More than 750,000 passengers have enjoyed the Museum’s collections of Washington streetcars, American trolleys and European trams. Members are actively involved in development of new programs, expansion of the collections and improvements in the facilities to enhance the visitor experience.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Individual memberships are available upon application.
Individual membership is the only type of membership available.
Full-time students are accepted as members at reduced rates (see dues).
Individuals not yet 18 years old are eligible with parental consent and sponsorship by a member who is at least 18 years old.

DUES CATEGORIES

Individual for one year - $40.00
Individual for three years - $110.00
Full-time student for one year - $30.00
Full-time student for three years – $80.00
Individual for fifteen years - $550.00
Individual for life - $800.00

DUES PAYMENT

Dues are in effect for a calendar year, January thru December.
Dues initially paid anytime from September to December are valid for the remainder of that year and the following calendar year.
Membership renewal is payable by 31 March.
