National Capital Trolley Museum

The Museum Shop and Admissions Kiosk is located just inside the entrance to the Visitor Center. The Museum Shop offers a variety of items for personal use or for gifts for children and adults. The book offerings include works for adults about various streetcar and electric railway lines (historic and current) and local history as well as readers and coloring books for children.

Corgi toy streetcars are available for the inner child in all of us while plastic trolleys of various colors are available for younger enthusiasts.

Well-dressed rail fans might like a T-shirt showing the parts of Capital Transit Street Car 1540. DVDs and video tapes from various trolley systems are also available, as are maps of the Washington DC Street Car system in 1958 and posters of railroad engines (antique or modern).

The Cashier in the Museum Shop is also the person to see for admission to the Museum and street car rides. The Cashier also provides general information about the Museum and directions to reach the Museum.

Many of the shop items are available by mail order. Our mail order list will give you a good idea of what items are currently available in the shop as well as by mail order.
