Support
For more than 50 years, we’ve been preserving the history of the transit systems that built our Nation’s Capital and the national capital region.
Help us continue our preservation efforts for the next generation.
Donations
There are multiple on going projects at the museum, all of which support our mission and preservation initiative. As a donor, you can decide where your contributions are allocated.
Current projects are listed below; when checking out via the donation form below, simply enter your desired project in the Required box on the checkout screen that says “Please use my donation for...” You can just type “general” if you don’t care where your money is allocated.
PLEASE NOTE: This page is for monetary donations only. However there are multiple ways to support the museum through a gift of objects/artifact or volunteering with us. Click here for more information on object/artifact donations, and here to sign up to volunteer.

No! You can donate to the general museum operating fund by stating so in your donation form. We also accept donations towards specific street cars. For example if you wanted to donate towards the maintenance of DCTS 1101, you would type “Restricted to DCTS 1101” in the form on your online donation or the memo line on a check.
